Cooma Solar (100MW – Choma)

We are developing this project under the Special Purpose Company “Cooma Solar Power,” featuring a 100 MWe/110 MWp solar plant integrated with a 40 MWh energy storage system. Located in the Choma District near ZESCO’s Muzuma substation in the Chifwepa/Gamela area, the Cooma Solar plant is Zambia’s first grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS) integrated solar power facility. Phase One, which consists of a 20 MWh BESS integrated with a 50 MW photovoltaic (PV) system, is scheduled for commissioning in 2026.
